How challenges work on Dumble

Participating in Dumble Challenges is an ultimate way of staying accountable to your fitness goals and getting fitter with your friends.

1.  Participate in a public challenge or host a private challenge with FITT tokens

As more and more people participate in a particular challenge, current prize pool increases. 

2. As and when a participant progresses on challenge goal, they get back FITT

When a participant makes progress in a challenge goal by doing a workout check-in on the Dumble app, they get a percentage of entry fee credited back to their in-game balance.

This percentage is calculated as follows-
Delta%= %goal completed after ending an activity - %goal completed before an activity

FITT credited = Delta% of entry fee

3. Participants get back 100% entry fee on challenge completion

Participants who complete 100% of Challenge goal before challenge ends, get back 100% entry fee. 

4. Additional FITT is distributed from remaining prize pool when challenge ends

Once a challenge has ended for all participants (in all timezones), Additional FITT rewards are calculated & distributed to all the participants who have accomplished the challenge goal.

5. How are additional FITT rewards calculated?

Let's take an example to understand how additional FITT is calculated-

Challenge details- Gym for 3 days in a week

Entry fee - 1000 FITT

No. of participants - 100

Current Prize pool - 1000*100 = 100000 FITT

Let's assume that 

- 80 participants completed 100% of challenge goal i.e. they checked-in their gym workout for 3 days

- 10 participants completed 33% of challenge goal i.e. they checked-in their gym workout for 1 day

- 10 participants completed 0% of challenge goal i.e. they didn't do any check-in

As per above assumptions, remaining prize pool at the end of the challenge will be 

= 1000*100 - (80*1000) - (10*1000*0.33)

= 16700 FITT

This amount shall be distributed among the 80 participants who completed the challenge. 

Winner's share = 16700/80 = 208 FITT

Fitmint charges 20% platform fee on winner's share

Winner's actual share = 208 - 208*0.2 = 166 FITT

Note- If all participants complete a challenge, additional FITT rewards will be zero.
